This International Women’s Day we’re celebrating the achievements of some of our favourite incredible female-founded businesses. Here at For The Creators it is our ambition to build a connected community of creators, empowering and supporting one another. Together, we can help women thrive and push for progress in gender equality.
Dotte
This is the UK’s number one marketplace to buy and sell kids outgrown clothing. Launched at the height of the pandemic by co-founders and mothers Samantha and Louie, the idea for Dotte was born as their own children rapidly grew out of their own clothing. It became very clear that there needed to be a better, more sustainable solution, extending the lifecycle of kids’ clothing.

Artipoppe
Artipoppe stands with women – and stands for mothers being able to move freely in the world. Founded by visionary Anna van den Bogert in 2012, Artipoppe is a baby carrier which helps to not only make a mother’s life easy, but also allows her to stay true to herself through design, aesthetics and style.

“Artipoppe is all about freedom: freedom in the way we get to move through this world, freedom to listen to that inner voice and reconnect to the wild within, the natural instincts that we are all born with.”
Nine The Label

‘This is the feeling of coming home. We are home. Our bodies house other people, but they are also our own refuge. We want to feel comfort in that, happiness in our form – looking after the body is paramount.’

Mamamade
Founded by Sophie, Mamamade began when she started introducing solids to her daughter Liba – she was desperate for help which didn’t require opening store-brought purees, but instead focused on healthy, home-cooked meals.
Mamamade provides no-fuss, healthy, organic meals for babies and toddlers. Ready in minutes, Mamamade was created to cater to the next generation of parents, sharing the load and the love!
